EXTENDED EDITION

Anindita is a writer and educator who lives in New England. She is currently working on her first novel. At various points in her life, she has wanted to be a pediatrician, dancer, astrophysicist, marine biologist, philosopher, historian, psychologist, and toymaker. The best part about writing is that any and all of this is possible.

Anindita was raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, her house had Steelers wallpaper in the downstairs bathroom. She is still an avid Steelers fan despite living in Patriots territory. She also loves pierogies and other Pittsburgh food. Although let’s face it, she really just likes food, as long as it’s good!

She was a lifer at Winchester Thurston then attended Wellesley College, where she studied Computer Science and English. Afterward, she completed her MS in Media Arts and Science with the MIT Media Lab‘s Future of Learning Group. She has an MA in Poetry from Boston University‘s Creative Writing Program and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Anindita lives with her husband, Andrew. Their dog, Marisol, has been missing since November, and they’ve been doing everything possible to find her again. In addition to writing, Anindita loves to read, bake, knit, travel, and spend as much time basking in sunshine as possible. When they can, Anindita and Andrew try to escort Puerto Rican street dogs like Marisol back to New England for adoption.
